Position Summary: Â
This isa great opportunity to work ina respected practice as a Patient Care Assistant. Successfulcandidate mustmaintain a professional image in the office and in all communications.Â

Essential Job Functions:Â
Facilitates quality patient care under the supervision of the provider.Â
Verifies patient information by interviewing patient; recording medical history; confirming purpose of visit.Â
Prepares patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests.Â
Secures patient information andmaintains patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records; completing diagnostic coding and procedure coding; keeping patient information confidential.Â
Helps with office procedures, injections, etc., as requested.Â
Reviews messages with physicians and responds as directed in a prompt and courteous manner.Â
Communicates test and lab results and transmits other information from provider to patient.Â
Answers questions asappropriate.Â
Maintainssafe, secure, and healthy work environment byestablishing and following standards andprocedures,
complying with legal regulations.Â
Keeps exam rooms clean and patient ready.Â
Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.Â
Keeps equipmentoperating by following operating instructions.Â
Answers phones and schedules appointments.Â
Serves and protects the medical practice by adhering to clinic and professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements.Â
Maintains CPR certification.Â
Other duties as assigned.Â

Qualifications:Â
Must be a self-starter, a team player, dependable,friendly and professional.Â
Be able to multi-task and work efficiently whileremaining calm and productive.Â
Must be able tomaintain good patient and staff relations along with providing outstanding customer service.Â
Previous medical experience preferred.Â
CPR certification (or completed within 4 months of hiring)Â
Working knowledge of medical terminologyÂ
Ability to bend, reach, lift, pull, push and/or carry up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally isrequired.Â
Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods of time.Â
Demonstrate excellentcomputer,telephone and communication skills.Â
Outstanding customer service,organization and attention to detail.Â
