Retail Team Leader

We are looking for a team leader who will be an active salesperson in our outlets, but who will devote a portion of their working week to actively manage our retail sales team and provide effective guidance to them. As a team leader, you will be the contact point for all team members, so your communication skills should be excellent. You should also be able to act proactively to ensure smooth team operations and effective collaboration. You should lead by setting a good example and engage the team to achieve their goals.

Key Activities

• 
  Helping the assigned team in reaching and exceeding sales targets
• 
  Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising and stock
• 
  Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction is being reached by providing support whilst teaming up with the team members & other team leaders to provide excellent sales and after-sales service
• 
  Monitoring stock levels by performing periodical stock take and spot check.
• 
  Handling challenges presented by team members in a positive and constructive manner
• 
  Overseeing the day-to-day operations
• 
  Delegation of daily retail tasks to team members
• 
  Creation of new processes to continuously improve the retail operation
• 
  Proactively carry out key tasks such as rostering, reporting etc.
• 
  Use various IT systems according to the company procedures
• 
  Proactively identify areas of improvement and suggestions to the management
• 
  Participate in the recruitment program and on-boarding training program
• 
  Supporting the new recruits with training advice and mentorships.

Accountability

  Manage periodic stock takes
• 
  Support the end of day reconciliation and administration procedures
• 
  Motivate Team members

  Listen to team members’ feedback and act upon it
• 
  Replacement of team members to cover for vacation/sick leave
