We are currently seeking a Restaurant General Manager / Restaurant Manager - YAZU Beach Club Galle to join our vibrant team at Radisson Blu Resort Galle. As a Restaurant General Manager / Restaurant Manager - YAZU Beach Club Galle, you are the orchestrator of exceptional experiences. Your role goes beyond executing the masterplan; it's about balancing strategic focus on guest experience, revenue generation, and achieving commercial results.

The Manager will be responsible for creating, developing, and managing the overall guest experience at Yazu Beach Club, ensuring it becomes one of Galle’s most desirable lifestyle, entertainment, and nightlife destinations.

This role requires a creative, energetic, and commercially driven individual with a strong understanding of beach club culture, music, entertainment, lifestyle trends, and premium guest experiences.

The successful candidate will bring Yazu’s identity to life through innovative concepts, curated entertainment, engaging daily programming, and memorable guest interactions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Concept Development & Brand Identity

- Develop distinctive concepts that establish Yazu’s unique beach club identity and lifestyle positioning.

- Create signature experiences that differentiate Yazu from competing destinations.

- Ensure all activities and entertainment align with the brand’s personality and target audience.

2. Daily Programming & Entertainment

- Plan and execute daily programming, including daytime experiences, sunset sessions, evening entertainment, and nightlife.

- Develop a structured weekly and monthly entertainment calendar.

- Curate the right music, energy, and atmosphere for every time of day.

3. Music & Entertainment Curation

- Identify, shortlist, and coordinate DJs, musicians, performers, and other entertainment talent.

- Develop relationships with local and international artists, promoters, and talent agencies.

- Ensure music selection and entertainment quality remain consistent with Yazu’s positioning.

4. Events & Special Experiences

- Conceptualise and execute themed parties, sunset events, weekend celebrations, festive events, and seasonal activations.

- Manage event planning, schedules, talent coordination, production requirements, and on-ground execution.

- Review each event’s performance and identify opportunities for improvement.

5. Guest Experience & Relationship Management

- Build meaningful relationships with guests, regular patrons, VIPs, influencers, and lifestyle communities.

- Create personalised experiences that encourage guest satisfaction, loyalty, and repeat visits.

- Be present on the floor during key operating periods to monitor the atmosphere and interact with guests.

6. Vibe & Atmosphere Management

- Maintain the desired energy and ambience throughout the day, from relaxed beachside experiences to vibrant sunset sessions and nightlife.

- Coordinate with the DJ, operations, service, and security teams to ensure a seamless experience.

- Proactively identify and resolve issues affecting guest enjoyment or the overall atmosphere.

7. Community Building & Partnerships

- Build relationships with Galle’s local community, expatriates, travellers, hospitality professionals, and lifestyle groups.

- Develop collaborations with hotels, resorts, travel partners, event organisers, and relevant local businesses.

- Attract the right audience while building a strong base of returning guests.

8. Brand Collaborations & Creative Activations

- Identify opportunities to collaborate with premium lifestyle, fashion, beverage, wellness, music, and hospitality brands.

- Develop exclusive activations, pop-ups, curated gatherings, and co-branded experiences.

- Ensure partnerships enhance the guest experience and deliver commercial value.

9. Innovation & Market Awareness

- Stay updated on international beach club concepts, hospitality trends, music culture, and emerging entertainment formats.

- Regularly introduce fresh ideas that keep Yazu relevant, exciting, and competitive.

- Benchmark leading beach clubs and adapt suitable concepts to Galle’s audience and market.

10. Business Growth & Performance

- Drive footfall, repeat visits, event attendance, guest engagement, and incremental revenue.

- Work closely with the management, marketing, and operations teams to develop and execute business-building initiatives.

- Monitor event profitability, entertainment costs, guest feedback, and campaign performance.

- Present regular reports on programming, guest engagement, and commercial results.

- Excellent understanding of music programming, crowd dynamics, and guest engagement.

- Creative mindset with strong planning, coordination, and execution skills.

- Commercial awareness and the ability to translate creative ideas into measurable business results.

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building abilities.

- Comfortable working evenings, weekends, public holidays, and during major events.
