Join Us as a Responsible Individual for Kent Children’s Homes

Are you a seasoned leader with a passion for creating safe, supportive, and inspiring environments for children? We’re looking for aResponsible Individual to oversee our children’s homes in Kent, ensuring they meet the highest standards of care and compliance. If you’re ready to make a lasting impact on the lives of young people while supporting our dedicated teams, we’d love to hear from you!


What You’ll Be Doing:

As a Responsible Individual, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future of our homes, ensuring they are places where children can flourish. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Oversight of Operations: Ensuring all homes operate smoothly, safely, and in line with regulatory requirements.

  • Driving Excellence: Supporting managers to achieve and maintain ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted ratings.

  • Compliance & Safeguarding: Making sure all practices align with legislation, safeguarding policies, and company standards.

  • Leadership & Mentoring: Guiding and supporting managers and staff to deliver the best outcomes for children and young people.

  • Strategic Planning: Collaborating with senior management to set goals and continuously improve service delivery.


What We’re Looking For:

We’re after someone who has:

  • Experience: A proven track record in leadership roles within children’s residential care.

  • Knowledge: An in-depth understanding of Ofsted regulations and the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015.

  • Qualifications: A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent) is highly desirable.

  • Leadership Skills: The ability to inspire, mentor, and build high-performing teams.

  • Commitment: A dedication to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

  • Flexibility: Willingness to travel across Kent to support multiple homes.
