Resiliency Control Testing Manager

Overview
TalentFish is casting a line for a Resiliency Control Testing Manager. This is a direct hire role in Rosemont, Illinois, with three days onsite each week. The role will help CLIENT build and lead a Security and Fraud Resiliency Control Testing Program while remaining hands-on in risk-based testing. This leader will assess control design and operating effectiveness across cybersecurity, fraud, third-party security, physical security, business continuity, and operational resiliency. This is a control testing and assurance position, not a cybersecurity engineering role.
What You Bring to the Role. (Ideal Experience)
Demonstrated experience leading control testing or assurance programs and developing control testing professionals.
Hands-on expertise assessing control design and operating effectiveness using risk-based testing and sampling methods.
Working knowledge of cybersecurity, fraud, technology, third-party risk, business continuity, and operational resiliency controls.
Familiarity with relevant frameworks and guidance, such as NIST CSF, FFIEC, ISO 27001, COBIT, and operational resiliency standards.
Strong experience with root cause analysis, issue management, remediation validation, evidence documentation, and executive reporting.
What You'll Do. (Skills Used in this Position)
Lead and execute risk-based control testing across security, fraud, third-party, business continuity, and operational resiliency domains.
Build and continuously improve testing methodologies, standards, quality assurance practices, reporting frameworks, and annual testing plans.
Coach and lead a team of control testing professionals through work direction, performance management, quality review, and technical guidance.
Partner with control owners, risk teams, auditors, and regulators to identify deficiencies, assess emerging risks, and support sustainable remediation.
Track corrective actions, perform validation and retesting, develop KPI and KRI reporting, and use approved AI, analytics, and automation to improve testing efficiency.

The expected compensation range for this position is market rate depending on experience and qualifications.
