Build a service department you're proud to put your name on
A well-established, growing residential home services company in the Treasure Valley is looking for a Service Manager who wants to own the results, not just report them.
You'll lead the residential HVAC service team. That means growing revenue, developing technicians into top performers and future leaders, and building a culture where people want to stay and win together. If you're the leader technicians follow because theywant to, and you love seeing the scoreboard move, keep reading.
This role is for you if you:
- Get energized by a scoreboard and like to compete
- Can walk into a ride-along and turn an average tech into a top producer
- Talk conversion rates and average tickets with the same ease you troubleshoot a tough no-heat call
- Want real authority to make decisions, set the pace, and build your team your way
- Measure your success by how many people you've grown, not just this month's numbers
What You'll Own
- Revenue & growth: Drive department revenue, conversion, average ticket, and opportunity-call performance toward aggressive goals
- People development: Coach techs on sales conversations, customer experience, and technical skill through weekly 1:1s, ride-alongs, and real-time feedback
- Culture: Set the standard and keep it high while building a team that's accountable, connected, and fun to be part of
- Leadership pipeline: Spot high-potential techs early and mentor them into lead and leadership roles
- Field support: Jump in on difficult calls when your team needs you
- Onboarding: Set new technicians up to ramp fast and succeed
- Collaboration: Partner with dispatch, sales, install, and ops leaders to keep the whole operation running sharp
- Operational standards: Keep vehicles, process, and service quality at a level customers notice
How You'll Win
You'll be measured on what matters to the business and the people in it:
- Department revenue and technician productivity
- Conversion rate and average ticket
- Callback/return rate
- Technician retention, engagement, and growth
- Customer experience
Hit these numbers and your incentives reflect it.
What You Bring
- 3+ years in the HVAC industry; residential service strongly preferred
- Experience leading, supervising, or managing a service team (strongly preferred)
- A track record of coaching technicians to higher sales and performance
- Solid technical knowledge of HVAC systems, diagnostics, and parts
- Fluency with service KPIs and the ability to turn data into coaching
- The confidence to hold people accountable while keeping morale high
- Experience with field-service software (ServiceTitan or similar) a plus
- A competitive drive and a hunger to keep growing as a leader
What You'll Get
- Total compensation $110K–$145K+: competitive base ($80K–$95K, depending on experience) plus performance incentives tied to department results
- Company vehicle, gas card, phone, and tablet
- Health, dental, vision, and life insurance
- 401(k) with company match
- Paid time off
- Year-round, stable work
- Leadership and professional development investment
- In-house classroom and hands-on training facility
- Dedicated parts and operational support, so you can focus on leading
- Tool purchase programs
- Team events, meals, and celebrations
- Real career advancement in a growing organization
