Role: Research Scientist – Ophthalmic Drug Delivery
Locations: Aliso Viejo, CA (5 days in the office a week)
Type:Contract
Rate:$33/Hr
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Chemistry or another relevant scientific discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Drug delivery device development.
- Sustained-release chemistry.
- Preclinical pharmacology.
- Clinical pharmacology.
- Intraocular pharmacokinetics.
- Analytical chemistry.
- Hands-on experience with HPLC and FTIR analytical instruments.
- Experience with ELISA assays and diffusion cell testing.
- Knowledge of ophthalmic research, eye tissue dissection, and nonclinical eye surgery.
- Ability to interpret OCT and UBM images.
- Knowledge of fluorescence and absorbance spectroscopy.
- Experience developing pharmaceutical formulations and chemical recipes.
- Understanding of GLP procedures and GMP documentation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and multitasking skills.
