The National Institute of Education invites suitable applications for the position of Research Assistant on a 6-month contract (renewable) at theScience of Learning in Education Centre (SoLEC).

Project Title:Cerebrovascular Health, Adult Learning, Resilience and Mechanisms: CHARM Study
Â
Project Introduction: As part of CHARM study, we will develop learning pedagogy for middle aged adults based on the principles of neuropsychological pedagogy and life-style interventions. Two learning packages will be designed with each package comprising a pre-course, course, and post-course components. The course components will include lectures, group-activities, and homework. The content will be developed by our team, in close collaboration with adult learners, through interviews and focus group sessions comprising learners of various age groups and occupational-types.

Requirements
Academic qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Education Technology, or a related field
Â
Work experience:
- Prior experience serving as a platform administrator (Moodle, WordPress LMS, etc.), including managing user accounts, roles, permissions, and system configuration.
- Prior experience of integrating LMS with xAPI and LRS is preferred.
- Prior experience supporting online learning or digital learning environments
- Prior experience working in educational, research, or training contexts
- Prior experience with basic data handling, analytics, or reporting
- Prior experience supporting research or educational projects

Responsibilities
- Set up, configure, and maintain e-learning platforms (e.g., Moodle, WordPress LMS, or similar systems)
- Take ownership of LMS platform (e.g., installation, plugin setup, course structure), in addition to ongoing maintenance.
- Support the design, implementation, and maintenance of online learning environments for the program
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely support to users and project members
- Support integration of learning tools, plugins, and third-party applications as needed
- Monitor system performance and ensure platform stability, security, and updates
- Support the delivery of online learning activities and related program operations
- Assist in organising and managing digital learning content and resources
- Contribute to data extraction, usage tracking, and reporting when required
- Track platform usage and generate reports/analytics
- Support research and program-related activities as assigned by the Principal Investigators
- Perform other tasks as required by the project team
