Relocation Specialist - Part-time - Madison or Milwaukee regions

Role Summary

As a Relocation Specialist, you’ll work alongside a team at clients’ homes throughout various stages of their move or downsizing journey. This is an active, hands-on role for someone who enjoys helping others, staying busy, working as part of a team, and bringing organization and calm to what can be an emotional or overwhelming time.

Key Responsibilities

• Sort and organize household belongings alongside clients as they prepare to move or downsize.
• Carefully pack and label household items in preparation for a move.
• Unpack belongings and thoughtfully set up clients’ new homes, including kitchens, bedrooms, décor, and other household items.
• Assist with decisions and organization related to items being kept, donated, sold, or disposed of.
• Prepare homes and belongings for move day and work alongside moving crews to help ensure a smooth transition.
• Handle clients’ homes and personal belongings with care, discretion, and respect.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas.
• Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients, families, coworkers, and service providers.
• Follow SEGUES procedures, safety practices, and quality standards.

Requirements

• Compassionate, patient, and respectful when working with older adults and their families.
• Dependable and punctual with strong attendance and follow-through.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a team environment.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on role where each client and workday may be different.
• Reliable personal transportation and a valid driver’s license are required. Team members are responsible for traveling to and from client job sites and may travel between locations during the workday. Local travel is typically within approximately 50 miles of the region served. (Mileage is reimburse beyond 20 miles each way)
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and regularly bend, reach, kneel, squat, climb stairs, and work throughout residential homes.
• Ability to safely lift and carry boxes, household items, and supplies.

Schedule: Part-time, weekdays during daytime business hours.
