Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with the VP of Reinsurance Management to develop treaty-level reinsurance strategies that align with business goals.
- Optimize treaty structures and coverage scope to best serve business needs.
- Manage all stages of reinsurance agreements — data gathering, partner communication, negotiation, contract development, execution, and documentation.
- Collaborate with analytics teams to incorporate data insights into decision-making.
- Collect, validate, and analyze exposure and experience data from business units.
- Coordinate and oversee data calls, ensuring accuracy for pricing and treaty purposes.
- Maintain strong relationships with business units, cedents, reinsurers, and brokers.
- Record treaty details in internal systems and coordinate with Finance for smooth processing.
- Support treaty premium planning and analysis.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with treaty contracts.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in the insurance industry of Canada.
- Strong communication (written and verbal) with the ability to engage senior management.
- Ability to work across multiple business units and build strong partnerships.
- Proficiency in handling technical details and data analysis.
- Reinsurance experience in Canada.
- CPCU or similar insurance designation.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
- Advanced knowledge of reinsurance contracts.
- Negotiation and business partnering experience.
