The Role The Program Delivery Team forms part of client's Business Operations function, the function that builds and operates the essential machines that help client execute its strategy. As a Project Manager embedded within Clearpay, you’ll lead complex, strategic and business-critical projects. Tasked with spearheading and coordinating the delivery of multiple interdependent initiatives, we’re looking for leaders with world-class execution capability and high levels of resilience. Important to your success in this role will be your ability to navigate new environments, build relationships, develop execution methodology from the ground up, solve problems at the highest levels, collaborate across all levels of the organization and navigate our teams through major change.
You will:
● Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of regulatory projects that are considered the highest priority to Clearpay.
● Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Clearpay leadership, project sponsors, and regulatory authorities, to foster collaboration, gain buy-in, and drive project success.
● Lead cross-functional teams (including Product, Engineering, Data Science, Compliance, Counsel, Risk and Customer Operations) providing direction, support, and guidance to ensure alignment with project objectives and timelines.
● Execute in high-pressure, high-intensity environments, demonstrating the ability to self-direct and manage tasks independently with minimal supervision.
● Communicate clearly and persuasively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, providing insights, recommendations, and updates on regulatory compliance initiatives, challenges, and progress.
● Manage interdependencies across your project and other related projects Oversee interdependencies within your project and with other related projects, ensuring seamless coordination and mitigating potential risks that could arise from misalignments or conflicts.
● Facilitate and attend meetings that accommodate both UK and Australian time zones. This will require working outside of standard business hours at least three days a week.
You Have
● You have at least 6 years of experience in regulatory change programmes (ideally with the FCA), risk management, or related fields, with demonstrated success in leading complex initiatives in high-risk environments.
● Regulated Industry Expertise: Experience in regulated industries (e.g., finance or fintech) and familiarity with regulatory requirements and expectations applicable to publicly traded companies is essential.
● Public Company Experience: Experience working in a publicly traded company, preferably listed on NASDAQ or other major stock exchanges, is required.
● Emotional Intelligence (EQ): Your ability to manage stakeholders across all levels is crucial and just as important (if not more so) than your project management toolkit.
● Payments Ecosystem Knowledge: Understanding of the payments ecosystem is highly desirable.
● Customer Commitment: A deep commitment to delivering positive outcomes for customers and a passion for shaping the future of Block is a must.
