Regulatory Licensing Specialist

Nashville, TN | Hybrid | 8-Month Contract

Summary:

• Review licensure/application, permits, and certifications for status, completeness, accuracy, and eligibility based on policy, procedures, and law.
• Recommend acceptance or rejection of applications according to relevant laws, rules, and regulations, forwarding recommendations for approval.
• Determine requests for reciprocity and renewal per policy, procedures, and law.
• Evaluate licensing certificates, registration, or other statements of authority for completeness, accuracy, and eligibility.
• Ensure accurate completion of licenses and reports.
• Implement mandates and pronouncements as assigned.

Responsibilities:

• Issue licenses, certificates, registration, or other statements of authority to practice in an occupation or profession.
• Match payments with appropriate licensee's record and process expenditure reports.
• Enter and revise data from multiple sources into the database, adjusting payments on licensee's records as needed.
• Maintain and process license payment records, prepare reports for submission, and coordinate report collection and preparation.
• Handle complaints and explain policies, procedures, and laws to applicants and other stakeholders.
• Coordinate meetings and schedules for pertinent boards or commissions and ensure proper notification and preparation for examinations.
• Communicate findings and issues with supervisors and appropriate personnel.
• Monitor the status of case investigations and applicants during examinations.
