Your opportunity

Lead a high-performing Asset Team and make a real impact on the lives of residents across Mission Australia Housing's property portfolio. As Regional Manager Asset Services, you will drive maintenance, compliance, contractor performance and asset improvement initiatives, ensuring safe, quality homes for tenants while leading strategic projects, managing key stakeholder relationships and delivering exceptional asset outcomes.

 

This is an exciting opportunity for a people-focused leader who thrives on driving operational excellence and creating lasting community impact.

 

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Lead the delivery of responsive, planned, cyclical and vacant property maintenance programs across a diverse housing portfolio.
  • Manage and develop a high-performing Asset Team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee contractor and supplier performance to ensure quality outcomes, compliance, value for money and achievement of service level agreements.
  • Ensure all properties meet legislative, regulatory, WHS and asset compliance requirements through effective governance and quality assurance processes.
  • Monitor asset performance, property condition, risks and lifecycle requirements, using data and insights to drive informed decision-making.
  • Manage regional asset budgets, forecasts and expenditure, ensuring financial accountability and alignment with organisational objectives.
  • Lead asset-related projects, property upgrades and new developments while building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, contractors and external partners.

 

Requirements for success

  • Proven experience leading asset, property, facilities or maintenance operations across a diverse property portfolio. Preferably with full lifecycle of properties. 
  • Strong knowledge of asset management, building maintenance, contractor management, compliance and property lifecycle planning.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, forecasts and expenditure while delivering value-for-money outcomes.
  • Experience leading, coaching and developing high-performing teams within a complex operational environment.
  • Strong understanding of WHS, regulatory and asset compliance requirements, with a focus on risk management and quality assurance.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills - build effective relationships with contractors, internal teams, government agencies and external partners.
  • Highly developed analytical, problem-solving and project management skills, with the ability to use data and insights to drive performance, continuous improvement and positive resident outcomes.

 

Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
