To provide guidance, and leadership, to the technicians working within the maintenance department with primary responsibilities regarding the facilities portion of the maintenance department i.e.; Refrigeration, HVAC, Compressed Air, Waste Water, Water Supply, and other facilities related systems. Provide a resource for the Assistant Directors and Director of Maintenance

- Handle multiple projects and duties simultaneously
- Knowledge of multiple plant systems including but not limited to Refrigeration, Water, Wastewater, air, boiler, cryogenic, and mechanical processing systems in a USDA processing environment
- Ability to work with contractors, technicians, operations and office personnel
- Must be able to have good maintenance and manufacturing decision-making abilities in a timely fashion. Quick and effective decisions for repair of facilities and processing equipment to minimize downtime of processing operations
- Be computer literate with skills in MS Word, Excel, MP2 CMMS, and other PC programs relating to system operation and control. Knowledge of E-mail and Internet programs.
- Effective personnel and task scheduling.
- Knowledge of good manufacturing practices and procedures within a USDA inspected processing facility.
- Good communication skills, both orally and written.
