JOB SUMMARY:Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Review Insurance and Benefits, send to appropriate dept to have patients be scheduled. OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Class I.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
- Receives internal and external referrals to run eligibility and benefits
Â
a.  Receives referral form from medical provider to provide continuity of patient care.
Â
b. Obtains insurance information and contacts carrier for authorization if appropriate.
Â
c. Obtains benefit information and estimation to provide to the patient their responsibilities for upfront collection.
Â
d. Calls requested consultant to schedule an appointment within timeframe indicated.
Â
- Â Copies all pertinent medical records and mails or faxes to consultant
Â
- Cross trains to provide support to business office and medical records

Qualifications
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
           A. Education: High school graduate or equivalent
           B. Personal job-related skills: Verbal and written communication skills.
           C. Licensure, registry or certification: None required.
           D. Experience
1. Prior work experience: One year experience in a medical clinic environment
2. Technical training: None required
           E. Physical and mental requirements: Duties of position require intermittent
walking, sitting, standing and lifting up to 40 pounds.
