As a Business Analyst (Manager level) at Avanade, you will lead requirements gathering and analysis workstreams on complex Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform programmes. Based in Auckland, you will work closely with client business stakeholders, functional architects and delivery teams to ensure solutions are clearly defined, scoped and aligned to business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead business analysis workstreams on large-scale Dynamics 365 and Microsoft technology programmes

• Facilitate requirements workshops, interviews and process mapping sessions with client stakeholders

• Document and manage business requirements, functional specifications, user stories and acceptance criteria

• Analyse and model existing 'as-is' business processes and design 'to-be' future state processes

• Collaborate with solution architects and technical teams to validate that designs meet business requirements

• Define and manage traceability matrices to ensure requirements are tested and delivered

• Support UAT planning, execution and sign-off in collaboration with client teams

• Manage junior BAs and analysts on the engagement, providing coaching and quality oversight

• Support pre-sales activities including scope definition and effort estimation

Skills & Experiences

• You are an experienced business analyst with a strong consulting background in enterprise technology programmes

• You excel at stakeholder engagement and translating complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements

• You are comfortable leading analysis workstreams independently and managing junior team members

• You bring excellent written and verbal communication skills and are confident presenting to senior audiences

• You likely have 7+ years of professional experience in business analysis, ideally in a consulting environment

• You have experience working on Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar enterprise CRM / ERP programmes

Technical skills & experience

• Strong knowledge of business analysis techniques including process modelling, use cases and user story writing

• Experience with Dynamics 365 CE, ERP or Power Platform implementations

• Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies

• Proficiency in tools such as Azure DevOps, JIRA, Visio or equivalent for requirements management

• Understanding of data migration and integration considerations in enterprise programmes

Preferred certifications

• IIBA CBAP or CCBA (preferred)

• Microsoft PL-900: Power Platform Fundamentals

Preferred years of experience

You likely have around 7–12 years of professional experience in business analysis, with at least 5 years in a consulting or client-facing environment.
