AC Service Manager

Are you ready for a change in direction? Then why not join the great team at McAlpine Hussmann! We are looking for an experienced AC Service Manager to join our team based in Mt Wellington.

The AC Service Manager position reports directly to the Branch Manager and leads a large team of Air Conditioning Service Technicians, Maintenance Technicians and Apprentices. This key position is accountable for ensuring customer satisfaction, driving team performance and meeting key business objectives. This opportunity suits candidates who have the drive and ambition to grow within a highly successful and expanding business. We are interested in hearing from candidates who have with well-developed commercial and financial acumen, proven sales focus, and strong leadership skills.

This role includes a company vehicle, available for reasonable private use, and is eligible to be included in the bonus scheme.

Based in Mt Wellington, this is a full-time role with 40 hours of work per week.

We are seeking people who possess the below experience and competencies:

• Trade Qualification in Refrigeration or Air Conditioning.

• 5+ years' leadership experience in a service, maintenance, operations, or technical environment with a track record of building engaged and high-performing teams.

• Understanding of service operations, labour utilisation, WIP management, and technician productivity metrics.

• Ability to drive a positive safety culture and compliance outcomes

• Excellent customer relationship and stakeholder management skills.

• Proven experience achieving revenue, profitability, and labour recovery targets.

• Ability to negotiate with suppliers/subcontractors.

• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to meet deadlines, plan, and prioritise.

• Strong coaching and people management skills to hold teams accountable.

• Ability to build and maintain key relationships both internally and externally.
