- Administer and support employee benefit and retirement programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, health savings accounts, flexible spending accounts, health reimbursement arrangements, and retirement plans.
- Manage enrollment activities, funding processes, deductions, and contributions while ensuring accurate and timely processing with benefit providers.
- Review vendor invoices, reconcile benefit billing discrepancies, and partner with Payroll, Finance, and external providers to resolve issues.
- Serve as a primary resource for employee benefits inquiries, providing outstanding customer support and resolving complex benefit-related concerns.
- Coordinate with carriers, retirement recordkeepers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to address eligibility, claims, enrollment, coverage, contribution, and leave-related matters.
- Support employees during life events, benefit enrollments, and retirement planning activities.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with benefit providers, third-party administrators, consultants, and key internal partners.
- Assist with benefit program enhancements, new initiatives, and vendor performance management activities.
- Support compliance reporting, retirement plan audits, nondiscrimination testing, regulatory filings, and governance requirements.
- Conduct audits of enrollments, eligibility, payroll interfaces, deductions, contributions, and benefit data to ensure accuracy, compliance, and data integrity.
- Analyze benefits data, identify trends and improvement opportunities, and prepare reports, benchmarking studies, and ad hoc analyses.
- Partner with Finance to support budgeting, forecasting, and ongoing benefits cost monitoring.
- Support annual Open Enrollment activities, including system testing, communication development, reporting, and implementation.
- Participate in benefits-related projects, system enhancements, acquisitions, integrations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to employee communications, knowledge resources, educational materials, and benefit program harmonization efforts.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3+ years of experience administering employee benefits programs, including health, welfare, and retirement plans.
- Demonstrated experience with retirement plan administration, including enrollments, contributions, compliance activities, audits, and coordination with recordkeepers and third-party administrators.
- Knowledge of employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and tax-advantaged savings accounts.
- Experience reviewing benefit billing, reconciling discrepancies, and partnering with Payroll and Finance on benefit-related processes.
- Proficiency with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), benefits administration platforms, and Microsoft Excel for reporting and analysis.
- Understanding of applicable benefits regulations, compliance reporting, retirement plan audits, and governance requirements.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, resolve discrepancies, and support data-driven decision-making.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering exceptional employee support and customer service.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to effectively partner with employees, vendors, Payroll, Finance, and Human Resources teams.
- Ability to work in a remote or hybrid environment while collaborating across multiple functions and locations.
