Position Summary:

We are seeking anEngineer III – Electrical / Embedded to join a growing R&D team in Hyderabad supporting sustaining engineering, VAVE, and lifecycle management for theKingFisher sample preparation systems andDetection instruments.

In this role, you will be akey individual contributor, owning electrical and embedded subsystems, executing design changes, and supporting system integration. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues, improve product performance, and contribute to cost optimization initiatives, while continuing to build depth inembedded systems and instrument design.

Key Responsibilities

Electrical & Embedded Development

  • Design, develop, and supportelectrical circuits, PCBAs, and embedded systems (firmware interfaces, microcontrollers, communication protocols).
  • Ownsubsystems or modules, including design, implementation, and verification.
  • Supportdebugging and troubleshooting of electrical and embedded issues at board and system levels.
  • Contribute todesign documentation, schematics, and interface definitions.

Sustaining Engineering & Lifecycle Support

  • Execute sustaining activities includingissue resolution, ECO implementation, and component obsolescence management.
  • Performroot cause analysis of field and production issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Supporttesting, validation, and qualification of design changes.

Value Analysis / Value Engineering (VAVE)

  • Identify and implementcost reduction opportunities within electrical and embedded designs.
  • Evaluatealternative components and design approaches in collaboration with senior engineers.
  • Supportdesign for manufacturability and cost initiatives.

System Integration & Technical Contribution

  • Collaborate with systems, mechanical, and software teams to supportsystem integration and verification.
  • Contribute torequirements definition, interface development, and test planning.
  • Participate indesign reviews and technical discussions, providing data-driven input.

Global & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work withglobal R&D teams (Finland, US, Singapore) to support knowledge transfer and ongoing product support.
  • Partner withmanufacturing, quality, service, and sourcing to resolve issues and improve product performance.
  • Collaborate withBusiness Unit Product Management to support execution aligned with product priorities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience inelectrical or embedded engineering.
  • Experience withPCB design, circuit analysis, and embedded systems development.
  • Strong skills indebugging, root cause analysis, and hands-on problem solving.
  • Experience working incross-functional engineering environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience withembedded firmware development (C/C++, RTOS, communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART).
  • Experience withlife sciences or analytical instrumentation.
  • Familiarity withdesign for manufacturability (DFM) and cost optimization.
  • Experience withlab equipment, test methods, and validation processes.
  • Exposure toregulated product development environments.

  • Contributes toproduct performance, reliability, and cost improvements.
