WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (Job Overview):Â
When you join ourteam you will beutilizing your healthcare and/or customer service skills toassist with every step of the bloodcollection process. This includes collaborating with your team to transport and setup equipment at the collection sites in local communities, creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for volunteer donors, and following all safety procedures while collecting lifesaving blood donations that are delivered to hospitals. Â

WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCEFORGOOD (Key Responsibilities):Â
Take the time to personally connect with donors – listen to their stories and help them understandhow impactful their donation is.Â
Collaborate with your teammates to create a welcoming and friendlyenvironment so our volunteer donors feel comfortable coming backagain and again. Â
Be detailed oriented all day, every day. This ensures that the blood you collect meets goals, regulatory requirements and can be safely transfusedÂ
May drive Red Cross vehicles andyou will work with the team to setup and tear down equipment at the donation sites.Position may requirea minimum height of 60 inches to ensure the ability to safely operate Red Cross vehicles.Â

Standard Schedule:Â Â
To best meet the needs of our donors and community,staffwork a variable schedulewhich may include early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.Overnight travel may berequired in some locations.Â
Scheduleisprovidedtwo to three weeks in advanceÂ

Pay Information:
- $21.34/hr (Entry-Level), $25.81/hr (LPN License), $31.00/hr (RN License)
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Minimum Qualifications):Â
High school diploma or equivalentisrequiredÂ
Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills arerequiredÂ
A current, valid driver's license witha good driving record is required.  Â
Physical requirements may include the ability to lift,push or pull heavy weights up and down ramps and stairs, good manual dexterity, the ability to sit or stand forlong periods of time and adapt to long, irregular hours and frequent schedule changesarerequired. Position may requirea minimum height of 60 inches to ensure the ability to safely operate Red Cross vehicles. Â
At the American Red Cross, we conduct many mobile blood drives at businesses,schools and many other locations. All staff work as a team tosetup and tear down the equipmentrequired to conduct a mobile blood drive. Â
Basic computer skills arerequired. Must be proficient with Microsoft office applications. Â
