Remote Mortgage Underwriter (DE/LAPP/SAR)- (Texas)

Ready to take yourmortgage underwriting career to the next level? Our client, a Texas-based, privately owned Commercial Bank, is expanding its Retail Residential Mortgage lending operations and adding aSenior Underwriter with deep underwriting expertise and DE/LAPP/SAR certifications.

As a Senior Underwriter, you won't just be checking boxes. You will:

•       Decision a Full Spectrum:Handle FHA, VA, Conforming, USDA, and Bond/Grant programs.

•       Be a Subject Matter Expert:Act as a go-to resource for loan officers and processors to help structure complex files.

•       Drive Quality:Ensure minimal turn times while maintaining “zero-defect” quality standards.

•        FHA Direct Endorsement (DE) with an active CHUMS ID

•        VA Supervised Automatic Review (SAR) with an active VA SAR ID

•        Lender Appraisal Processing Program (LAPP) certification

•        5+ years of recent mortgage underwriting experience

•        Expertise in AUS systems (DU/LPA)

•        Ability to work independently in a remote environment while remaining a collaborative team player
