Reconditioning Advisor

Hansel BMW is looking a full-time Reconditioning Advisor to join our team in Santa Rosa!!

The Internal Recon Service Advisor coordinates and manages the internal reconditioning process for used vehicles from acquisition through frontline readiness. This position works closely with the sales, service, parts, and detail departments to ensure vehicles are repaired, reconditioned, and completed efficiently, on time, and within budget.

Location: Hansel North (Mazda, Subaru, BMW, VW) Santa Rosa, CA

Position Type: Full Time

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Open and manage internal repair orders for inventory vehicles.
• Coordinate vehicle inspections and reconditioning needs with service technicians.
• Communicate repair status and timelines with sales and management teams.
• Monitor vehicle progress through service, parts, body shop, and detail processes.
• Obtain repair estimates and ensure work is completed cost-effectively.
• Review repair orders for accuracy and completeness.
• Prioritize reconditioning work to meet inventory and sales needs.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in dealership systems.
• Assist with inventory readiness and vehicle merchandising timelines.
• Support other dealership needs as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

•Dealership service writing or reconditioning experience is required!
• Basic knowledge of automotive service and repair processes preferred.
• Excellent communication skills — written & verbal

• Ability to manage multiple vehicles and projects simultaneously
• Valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Reliable, punctual, Professional appearance, and customer‑focused
• Proficiency with dealership software and Microsoft Office applications

• Able to pass a criminal background screening & Able to pass a drug test

Pay Defined: The Reconditioning Advisor position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include Base Hourly Compensation of $27.00, plus performance bonuses. The performance bonus may range from $0.00 (if baseline benchmarks are not met) without any fixed upper limit.
