Receiving Clerk / Forklift Operator – 1st Shift
Location: Norcross, GA 30093
Pay Rate: $21.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Shift: 1st Shift
Hours: 40 hours per week
Work Arrangement: Onsite
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Receiving Clerk / Forklift Operator to support warehouse and receiving operations at a manufacturing facility in Norcross, GA.
This is a hands-on warehouse position that combines receiving, forklift operation, material handling, inventory control, inspection, and clerical/data-entry responsibilities.
The Receiving Clerk will unload incoming trucks, verify products and materials against packing documentation, inspect incoming materials for damage, maintain accurate receiving records, and ensure materials are properly labeled and moved to their designated locations.
The position requires someone with strong attention to detail, basic math skills, the physical ability to unload and handle deliveries, and the clerical skills necessary to maintain accurate receiving and inventory records. INO Shipping Clerk
Key Responsibilities
- Unload products and materials from incoming trucks.
- Communicate with the Receiving Lead regarding incoming deliveries.
- Receive inbound shipments and sign appropriate receiving paperwork.
- Compare incoming products and materials against packing documentation to verify that deliveries are complete and accurate.
- Inspect incoming products and materials for damage.
- Report damaged materials, quality issues, discrepancies, or equipment defects to the supervisor or Receiving Lead.
- Unpack and verify incoming deliveries.
- Label received materials and move them to designated warehouse or production locations.
- Maintain accurate receiving records.
- Assist with inventory-control activities.
- Operate a forklift to unload, move, stage, and store materials.
- Read and review packing slips and bills of lading.
- Properly dispose of scrap material and recycle used cardboard.
- Perform receiving-related clerical and data-entry functions.
- Follow established safety procedures and utilize required PPE.
- Maintain the receiving department in a clean, organized, and hazard-free condition.
- Perform other related warehouse and receiving duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing, production, warehouse, or distribution environment.
- Previous knowledge or experience with receiving operations.
- Current forklift driver certification.
- Forklift operating experience.
- Ability to read and review packing slips and bills of lading.
- Basic computer and data-entry skills.
- Basic math skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to maintain accurate receiving and inventory records.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize assignments in a fast-paced manufacturing/warehouse environment.
- Ability to adapt to changing work priorities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Infor LN or a similar ERP/inventory-management system.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements
Candidates must be able to:
- Lift and stack cartons weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Walk and stand for extended periods on concrete flooring.
- Sit for periods while operating a forklift.
- Perform computer and data-entry activities as required.
- Work in a warehouse/manufacturing environment with varying ambient temperatures.
- Safely perform physical receiving and material-handling activities throughout the shift.
