Real Estate Attorney: 2nd-5th year

About the Role

Our client is seeking a Real Estate Associate Attorney (2nd–5th year) to join its sophisticated real estate practice in New York.

This role is ideal for attorneys with broad commercial real estate transaction experience who have represented sophisticated clients in acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, secured lending, and other complex real estate matters. The practice has a particular interest in candidates with experience supporting data center transactions, including leasing, colocation agreements, acquisitions, dispositions, and related due diligence.

The ideal candidate will have strong transactional skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple complex matters simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

• Represent clients in a broad range of commercial real estate transactions, including:

  • Acquisitions

  • Dispositions

  • Leasing transactions

  • Real estate secured financings

  • Data center transactions

• Draft, review, and negotiate:

  • Purchase and sale agreements

  • Lease agreements

  • Loan documentation

  • Colocation agreements

  • Ancillary transaction documents

• Conduct and manage:

  • Due diligence reviews

  • Title and survey review

  • Transaction documentation

  • Closing processes

• Support clients through all stages of transaction execution

• Coordinate with lenders, borrowers, title companies, consultants, and opposing counsel

• Manage multiple active transactions while maintaining exceptional attention to detail

Required Qualifications

• 2–5 years of commercial real estate transactional experience

• Experience handling:

  • Real estate acquisitions and dispositions

  • Commercial leasing

  • Secured lending transactions

  • Real estate due diligence

  • Title review and analysis

• Experience drafting and negotiating transaction documents

• Excellent writing, analytical, and communication skills

• Strong organizational and project management abilities

• Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously

• JD from a nationally recognized law school with strong academic credentials

• Experience at a comparable law firm strongly preferred

• Experience with:

  • Data center transactions

  • Technology infrastructure real estate matters

• Experience representing sophisticated institutional clients

• Exposure to large-scale commercial real estate transactions
