About the Role
Our client's nationally recognized Real Estate practice group is seeking a Real Estate Associate Attorney (2nd–5th year) to join its Reston office.
This role is ideal for an attorney with sophisticated real estate transactional experience, particularly involving data center-related transactions and complex commercial real estate matters. Associates in this practice advise sophisticated institutional clients across acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, financing, and development matters.
The ideal candidate will have strong transactional execution skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple complex matters in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities

Represent clients in a broad range of commercial real estate transactions, including:

Acquisitions and dispositions
-
Commercial leasing
-
Real estate financing transactions
-
Data center transactions and infrastructure-related matters
-

Draft, review, and negotiate:
-
Purchase and sale agreements
-
Leases and colocation agreements
-
Loan documents
-
Due diligence materials
-
Transaction-related agreements
-
-
Conduct and manage:
-
Title and survey review
-
Due diligence investigations
-
Transaction closings
-
-
Support real estate-secured lending transactions
-
Collaborate with clients, lenders, investors, and internal deal teams
-
Manage multiple sophisticated transactions simultaneously while maintaining exceptional work quality
Required Qualifications

2–5 years of commercial real estate transactional experience
-
Strong experience with:
-
Leasing
-
Acquisitions and dispositions
-
Real estate finance
-
Title and due diligence review
-

Experience handling sophisticated commercial real estate transactions at a comparable law firm

Exposure to data center transactions strongly preferred, including:

Colocation agreements
-
Data center leasing
-
Infrastructure-related real estate matters
-

Excellent drafting, negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills

Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment

JD from a nationally recognized law school with strong academic credentials
