
Patient Transporter - Evenings
Job Description​
Patient Transporter Through manual or computerized job assignments the Service Associate functions as a Patient Transporter who will move patients by wheelchair, cart or bed throughout the hospital for various reasons. The Service Associate will follow department/system processes to ensure all patients are safely and efficiently transported between departments. Staff will maintain integrity of all lines, tubes, and collection devices. Transport staff may be required to move patients' valuables and equipment. Transporters are responsible to document safe patient pickup and arrival via use of the Ticket To Ride. Good communication with fellow department members as well as clinical  and non-clinical staff is required. Transport staff will report to the Team Lead in the absence of the Supervisor and or transport manger. Transporters may be assigned additional tasks as needed.Â
Safely transport patients  Â
Identify safety concerns related to transport equipment     Â
Assist visitors with directions   Â
Gather and disperse beds, WC, Gurneys   Â
Transport specimens as neededÂ
Shift:1500-2330 Weekdays/Weekends
