ABOUT THE ROLE
The Project Manager is responsible for leading and delivering complex, cross-functional technology initiatives that support Rosenbauer America's strategic business objectives. This role provides leadership for enterprise technology projects, including infrastructure modernization, cybersecurity initiatives, ERP enhancements, software implementations, business process improvements, and digital transformation efforts. The Project Manager partners closely with business leaders, technical teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure projects are successfully planned, executed, and implemented. This position is responsible for driving project governance, managing risks and resources, supporting organizational change, and ensuring technology investments deliver measurable business value while aligning with organizational priorities.
WHAT YOU’LL DO

- Project Leadership and Delivery: Lead and manage multiple complex technology projects from initiation through implementation and closure. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, within budget, and aligned with business objectives.
- Project Planning and Governance: Partner with business leaders and stakeholders to define project objectives, requirements, scope, deliverables, and success criteria. Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, resource plans, communication plans, and governance processes that support successful project execution.
- Risk and Issue Management: Identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate project risks, dependencies, and issues throughout the project lifecycle. Drive timely resolution of challenges and escalate concerns when necessary to protect project outcomes.
- Stakeholder Communication and Reporting: Provide project portfolio reporting, dashboards, executive summaries, and status updates to leadership and stakeholders. Facilitate project meetings, steering committee reviews, vendor discussions, and cross-functional communications to ensure alignment and transparency.
- Financial and Resource Management: Manage project budgets, forecasts, approvals, purchase coordination, and resource allocation throughout the project lifecycle. Monitor financial performance and resource utilization to support effective decision-making and project success.
- Vendor and Partner Management: Support vendor evaluations, implementation activities, contract coordination, and ongoing vendor performance management. Collaborate with leadership, purchasing, and external partners to ensure vendor-delivered solutions meet business and project expectations.
- Change Management and User Adoption: Lead organizational change management efforts by supporting communication planning, training coordination, user adoption strategies, and transition activities. Help ensure successful deployment and long-term adoption of technology solutions.
- Business Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve business processes, operational efficiency, and technology utilization across the organization. Partner with stakeholders to evaluate solutions that deliver measurable business value and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Technology Strategy and Portfolio Management: Support IT strategic planning efforts by evaluating project priorities, resource capacity, business impacts, and implementation readiness. Collaborate with IT leadership to maintain the technology roadmap and align project portfolios with organizational goals.
- Project Management Excellence: Promote project management best practices and methodologies, including Waterfall, Agile, and hybrid approaches. Ensure projects are executed with a focus on quality, customer satisfaction, operational improvement, risk management, and return on investment.
- Other Duties as Assigned: Perform additional duties and responsibilities as required to support departmental objectives and organizational needs. Maintain flexibility and adaptability to address changing business priorities and technology requirements.
Qualifications
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
Knowledge, Education, and/or Experience:
- Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification strongly preferred. CAPM, PMI-ACP, CSM, or equivalent certification preferred.
- Five to eight years of project management experience, including leadership of large or complex technology initiatives, preferred.
- Experience managing IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, ERP, software implementation, cloud, business applications, manufacturing systems, or related technology projects preferred. · Experience managing vendors, consultants, implementation partners, budgets, schedules, risks, issues, and executive reporting preferred.
Skills:
Language:
- Read, analyze, and interpret financial reports, contracts, vendor proposals, project documentation, and business requirements.
- Communicate project status, risks, decisions, and recommendations effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Facilitate discussions and build relationships with stakeholders, business leaders, vendors, and project teams.
- Prepare professional presentations, reports, project updates, and business communications.
Math:
- Develop project budgets, track expenditures, forecast costs, and evaluate financial impacts.
- Analyze schedules, resource plans, project metrics, estimates, and budget variances to support decision-making.
Computer:
- Utilize Microsoft 365 applications, including Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint. · Use project management and collaboration platforms such as Microsoft Project, Planner, Azure DevOps, Jira, Smartsheet, or similar tools.
- Work within enterprise technology environments including infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud platforms, business applications, manufacturing systems, and end-user technologies.
- Translate technical requirements into business-focused project plans, timelines, risks, decisions, and action items.
