Eva Burrows College (The Salvation Army) is seeking a friendly, organised and customer focused individual to join our team as aCollege Services and Customer Support Officer.

In this highly varied role, you will provide customer service and administrative support across the College, with a particular emphasis on events, conferences, campus services,catering and accommodation. You will support day-to-day service delivery while helping the Events and Campus Services team strengthen its processes and systems and build its capacity to manage a growing range of activities.

The opportunity ismax term 12 months,full-timeonsite position.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support event and conference enquiries, bookings, customerrequirements and associated administration. 
  • Assist with the preparation, coordination and delivery of events, conferences, catering,accommodation and campus activities. 
  • Liaise with customers, EBC personnel and service providers to confirm requirements and support well-coordinated service delivery. 
  • Provide practical, hands-on support for event preparation, hosting and pack-down, asrequired. 
  • Assist customers using event and meeting spaces, including with security access and basic IT/AV requirements. 
  • Maintain accurate booking records, schedules,documents and operational information. 
  • Contribute to improving processes, systems, templates and workflows that help the Events and Campus Services team manage and scale its work.
  • Provide general customer service, College Services and administrative support across the College. 

About you:

You are approachable,organised and confident working across a broad range of customer service, administrative and operational activities. You will have experience in events, conferences, hospitality, catering,accommodation or a related service environment, withdemonstrated experience in both hands-on service delivery and strong business administration. A level 2 Food handling certificate or the willingness to obtain one would be well-regarded. 

 

You enjoy working collaboratively, improving how work is organised and supporting a team to manage a growing range of activities. You bring strong attention to detail, sound systems skills,initiative and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy, customer-focused environment.
