Orlando, FL

Full-time on-site neuroradiologist for a major federal medical center at Lake Nona. Days only, Monday through Friday, with no call, no nights and no weekends.

The Community

Lake Nona sits on the southeast side of Orlando and has become one of the fastest-growing planned communities in the country, home to Lake Nona Medical City: a cluster of hospitals, the UCF College of Medicine, Nemours Children's Hospital and research institutes, surrounded by new neighborhoods, top-rated schools, trails and a walkable Town Center. Greater Orlando gives you year-round sunshine, both coasts within about an hour, world-class golf, boating on the Butler Chain of Lakes, and Florida's biggest advantage for physicians: no state income tax.

Getting Here

Orlando International Airport (MCO) – approximately 15 minutes from the facility, one of the busiest airports in the country, with nonstop service nationwide and abroad.

The Facility

A 370-bed federal medical center and one of the largest in its national system, anchoring the Lake Nona Medical City campus and serving more than 145,000 patients across Central Florida. The radiology department is fully equipped, with CT, MRI, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, mammography, nuclear medicine and PET, follows American College of Radiology practice parameters, and uses AI-assisted nodule detection. You join a two-radiologist on-site team that covers the department every business day.

13800 Veterans Way, Orlando, FL 32827

Responsibilities

  • Interpret brain, spine, and head and neck CT and MRI as the department's neuroradiology lead
  • Share general diagnostic reading with your on-site partner: plain film, fluoroscopy and general ultrasound
  • Protocol studies and consult in person with referring clinicians on neuro imaging questions
  • Meet a steady, reasonable productivity standard of about 35 wRVUs per day
  • Follow ACR practice parameters and take part in departmental quality and peer review

Qualifications

  • Active, full and unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state
  • Board certified or board eligible with the American Board of Radiology
  • Fellowship training in neuroradiology (or substantial neuroradiology practice experience)
  • At least three continuous years of practice as a diagnostic radiologist within the last four years, with current proficiency in CT, MRI, ultrasound and diagnostic X-ray
  • No history of a restricted, suspended, surrendered, revoked or denied medical license in any state

Schedule

Full time, on site, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with a 30-minute lunch. Federal holidays are off the schedule. There is no call, no nights, no weekends and no overtime. This is a long-term, multi-year contract position. Anticipated start: February 2027.
