Syracuse, NY

Weekday interventional practice in Central New York – procedures, not a reading list, with evening and weekend call taken from home.

The Community

Syracuse sits at the heart of Central New York, with one of the lowest costs of living of any university city in the Northeast. Skaneateles Lake and the Finger Lakes wine country are a short drive west, the Adirondacks and Thousand Islands are within easy reach for weekends, and Onondaga Lake Park, the New York State Fair and Syracuse University athletics keep the city busy year-round. Neighborhoods such as Fayetteville, Manlius, Cazenovia and Skaneateles offer excellent schools and short commutes to University Hill.

Getting Here

Syracuse Hancock International Airport (SYR) – approximately 8 miles / 15 minutes, with nonstop service to New York City, Washington DC, Chicago, Atlanta, Charlotte and Florida.

The Facility

Syracuse VA Medical Center is a teaching hospital on University Hill affiliated with SUNY Upstate Medical University, serving Veterans across Central New York. Interventional Radiology works alongside the Radiology Service, referring medical and surgical teams, IR nursing and radiologic technologists.
