Job Posting Description
Position SummaryPerforms routine imaging examinations in Diagnostic Radiology on a scheduled and emergency basis following departmental QC/Exam Data Integrity Workflow Expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reviews and evaluates requisitions for Diagnostic imaging procedures, abstracting data from patient charts and determining appropriateness of procedure prescribed given diagnosis and clinical signs for routine examinations.
- Identify patients according to Hospital Policy with 2 identifiers.
- Selects appropriate equipment and technical factors to identify pathologic and normal anatomy.
- Assesses patients' and parents' physical and emotional status and ability to respond to instructions and develop a care plan for that patients' specific needs.
- Explain the examination and is able to answer questions from patient and parents regarding the exam and Radiation exposure, practices ALARA.
- Follows Departmental QC/Data Integrity Workflow.
- Practices High Reliability Training.
Education:
- An Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology is required. Bachelor's degree preferred
- Training in Diagnostic Radiology
- MA Radiographer license and ARRT certification is required.
- Status: Part-Time
- Regular, Temporary, Per Diem: Regular
- Standard Hours per Week: 36
- Pay Range: $35.62-$57.00 Hourly
