Senior Solderer

As a Senior Solderer you will be responsible for performing a wide variety of solders on electronic modules and wiring. Works from established work instructions, engineering drawings, specifications, process documentation, and applicable workmanship standards to produce quality assemblies and components.

Location: Farmingdale, NY

Hourly Range: $21 - $25

Your Challenge

• Performs complex soldering and related assembly operations on electronic, electrical, electromechanical, cable, wire, and/or circuit-card assemblies in accordance with established work instructions and applicable specifications. (20%)
• Builds and tests components, wires, terminals, connectors, circuit boards, and other materials for soldering and assembly. (20%)
• Assembles components to a final configured product. (15%)
• Sets-up and uses soldering irons, rework equipment, microscopes, magnification devices, hand tools, fixtures, gauges, and other production equipment as trained and/or authorized. (15%)
• Follows engineering drawings, assembly instructions, process specifications, and controlled manufacturing documentation. (15%)
• Completes accurate documentation for inspection records, electronic manufacturing records, and other required documentation. May attend off-site training and perform off-site solder/assembly service calls as requested. (15%)

What You Bring

• Demonstrated proficiency in hand soldering and electronic assembly techniques.
• Ability to perform precise manual work requiring fine motor skills and sustained attention to detail.
• Ability to follow detailed written work instructions and basic engineering/manufacturing documentation.
• Ability to safely use basic hand tools and production equipment.
• Ability to work in a structured manufacturing environment.
