Job Description

1. Job Overview

The Pouch/Innolok Assistant position supports the manufacturing of high value/high speed pouches, working closely with other integrated positions and departments, while maintaining the highest level of safety and quality.

Shift: Night Shift

Pay Rate: $17 plus $1 night differential

2. Job Dimensions

Inspect and package finished product in a high-speed operation.

Responsible for safety of yourself and others around you.

Ensuring quality of the product being manufactured.

Maintaining high awareness to waste and productivity standards

Training of other Pouch/Innolok Assistants in the position

Maintain housekeeping for assigned area

Assist operator on the machine

Complete other duties as assigned by Shift Supervisor.

3. Principal Accountabilities

AF Yuba City has a staff of around 100 co-workers. Pouching team is comprised of an Operator and Assistant.

This position is full-time and supports a 24/7 operation.

This role has no direct reports

Assists operator in the performance of routine duties.

4. Major challenges & complexities

Visually inspects food contact paths during preventative maintenance to ensure no visible contamination is evident. Contact supervisor if contamination is suspected.

Punctuality and adherence to the company attendance policy are essential

6. Qualifications/Requirements

6.1 Formal Qualifications and Experience

Knowledge and Experience

One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Education and Certifications

High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)

6.2 Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Behaviours

Job Specific skills and abilities

Must be detail conscious, quality control and safe production oriented.
