Domiciliary Care Worker β Evenings & Weekends
The Care Bureau | Leamington Spa and surrounding areas
An evenings and weekends role that makes a real difference.
Ever had one of those days where a small act of kindness made everything better? That's basically the job description. As a Domiciliary Care Worker with The Care Bureau, you'll help people live independently, safely, and happily in their own homes β and you'll finish your shift knowing you've genuinely made a difference to someone's life.
This role is all about evenings and weekends β helping people through their evening routine and giving them support over the weekend when family and other services aren't always around. No previous care experience needed β just a kind heart and a bit of patience. And if you've cared for a family member, volunteered, or worked in retail, hospitality or similar people-facing roles, those skills count for more than you'd think.
What You'll Be Doing
No two shifts are the same. You might be:
- Helping someone get washed, dressed or changed and settled β whether that's an evening routine or a weekend morning
- Preparing meals and snacks according to what they fancy
- Popping to the shops or picking up a prescription over the weekend
- Giving someone a hand with their medication
- Assisting with getting ready for bed
- Doing a bit of light housework, laundry or tidying up
- Simply being there β company, conversation, and a friendly face when they need it most
It's hands-on, it's varied, and it genuinely matters. You'll be supporting people to stay independent, comfortable and dignified in their own homes.
Evenings & Weekends
This role covers evenings and weekends β no weekday daytime calls, unless you ask to extend:
- Weekday evening shifts run fromaround 6pm through to 10:30pm
- Weekend shifts run across the day, between6:30am and 10:30pm, Saturday and Sunday
- Work a mix of evenings and weekends, or focus on one or the other β it's up to you
- Ideal if your weekdays are already spoken for, or you simply prefer working evenings and weekends
- No long shifts stuck in one place β visits are short and varied, so time flies by
What We're Looking For
- A caring, patient and reliable nature
- Good communication skills
- A full driving licence and access to a vehicle (required, for getting between visits)
- Willingness to learn β full training is provided, so previous care experience isn't essential
- A DBS check will be required (don't worry, we cover the cost β see below!)
If you're kind, dependable and want an evenings-and-weekends job where you can really see the difference you make, that's the most important quality we look for. .

Why Care Work?
Because it's real. Because you'll build genuine relationships with the people you support. Because evenings and weekends are often when people need a friendly face the most, and family or other support isn't always around. It's not always easy, but it's rarely boring, and it's one of the few jobs where you can finish a shift knowing exactly what good you've done.
Ready to Apply?
If this sounds like you β whether you want just a few evenings or weekends a month, starting your very first job in care, or bringing years of experience β we'd love to hear from you.
