1. Maintenance Planning & Execution:
Â
- Develop and implement inspection, maintenance, and repair schedules for all mechanical systems and equipment, including gas turbines, steam turbines, generators , condenser, heat recovery steam generators (HRSG), pumps, compressors, HVAC and other ancillary systems.

2. Team Leadership:
Â
- Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of mechanical maintenance engineers and technicians to ensure efficient maintenance operations and achieve targets & objectives.

- Foster a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement among team members.
Â
3. Technical Support:
Â
- Provide technical guidance and support to maintenance staff for troubleshooting and problem resolution of mechanical issues.
Â

- Conduct root cause analysis of mechanical failures and implement corrective measures.

4. Project Management:
Â
- Plan and oversee mechanical maintenance projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

- Coordinate with other departments (operations, electrical, and instrumentation) to schedule maintenance work with minimal disruption to plant operations.

5. Budget and Resource Management:
Â
- Assist the Maintenance Manager in the preparation of the annual maintenance budget and manage resource allocation effectively.
Â
- Monitor maintenance costs and identify opportunities for cost reductions without compromising safety or reliability.

6 . Procurement & Storage
- Ensures adequate inventories of spares and consumables and ensure timely procurement for the efficient operation
- To prepare purchase requisitions for spare parts and consumables
To perform technical evaluation of quotations received from purchase department and recommend appropriate choice.

7. Compliance and Safety:
Â
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices.
Â
- Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and initiate safety improvement programs.
Â
-Ensure compliance of Corporate and site specific procedures and Work Instructions.

8. Documentation and Reporting:
Â
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and inventory.

- Prepare detailed reports on maintenance work, performance metrics, and project status for management review.

9. Continuous Improvement:

- Identify and implement improvement initiatives in mechanical maintenance processes and workflows.

- Stay abreast with industry trends, advancements in technology, and maintenance best practices.

10 Pre-PCOD role
a)Â Â Â support the Owner during the design review phase and during installation, commissioning, testing, and trial operation period.
b)Â Â O & M manuals and Initial Spare Parts list Review and finalization
c)Â Â Â Development of Master Equipment List
d)Â Â Development and implementation of CMMS
e)Â Â Spares and maintenance strategy identification based on Criticality study of equipment.
f)Â Â Â Â Prepare site specific maintenance procedures and Work Instructions
g)Â Â Â Ensure Maintenance team authorization as Permit Receivers
h)Â Â Ensure timely placement of subcontracts
i)Â Â Â Â ensure readiness for the operational period, by ensuring that all staff are trained and that all the systems and process required for O&M operations are ready.
j)Â Â Â ensure that the plant is fit for purpose to be taken-over and the plant is designed, built, commissioned and tested as per the EPC Contract and other Project Agreements.
-Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Â
Experience: Minimum of  10  years of relevant experience in mechanical maintenance, in  large scale combined cycle power Plant. IPP and Siemens GT experience is preferred.
Â
Leadership Skills: Proven experience leading maintenance teams, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Â
Technical Skills: Proficiency in mechanical maintenance systems, reliability engineering, and condition monitoring techniques.
Â
Software Knowledge: Familiarity with maintenance management software (CMMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
