Position Details:

R&D Engineer- Minnetonka, MN

Location                       : 14901 De Veau Place - B2, Minnetonka, MN – 55345

Project Duration      : 6 Months of contract (Possibility of Extension depending upon performance)

Shift Timing               : 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Mon to Fri)

Pay Rate                      : $40.00 per hour on W2

Position Overview:

Seeking an R&D Engineer contractor with 1-3 years of experience and a Bachelor's degree.

Preferred degrees:

·        Mechanical Engineering

·        Biomedical Engineering

·        Electrical and Software Engineering backgrounds may also be considered if the candidate is a strong fit.

·        Role is primarily focused on Process Development, despite the R&D Engineer title.

Key Responsibilities:

Process validations:

·        IQ (Installation Qualification)

·        OQ (Operational Qualification)

·        PQ (Performance Qualification)

·        Equipment design and development.

Technical writing:

·        Manufacturing Procedures (MPs)

·        Technical reports

·        SOP documentation

·        Design of Experiments (DOE).

·        Process characterization and data analysis.

·        Cross-functional collaboration with:

·        R&D

·        Quality Engineering (QE)

·        Manufacturing Engineering (ME)

·        Operations

Required/Preferred Technical Skills

·        CAD software experience is highly desirable.

·        Strong technical writing/documentation skills.

·        Statistical analysis experience preferred:

·        Minitab experience is a plus.

·        Academic exposure to statistical tools is acceptable.

·        Medical device industry experience preferred, including internships.

·        Quality management/documentation systems experience (TrackWise, electronic lab notebooks, Master Control, etc.) is not required.

·        Product/Industry Focus

·        Work will be focused on catheter delivery systems.

·        Processes involve:

·        Assembly operations

·        UV curing

·        Mechanical assembly processes

Candidate Profile:

·        Recent graduates with internship experience.

·        Candidates with master’s degrees if within max bill rate.

·        R&D and Product Development backgrounds are welcomed but not required.

·        Self-driven and proactive mindset is highly valued.

·        Willingness to:

·        Take initiative

·        Ask questions

·        Support a variety of tasks

·        Work with minimal direction after training

·        Strong communication and collaboration skills.
