What to Expect

What You’ll Do

• Architect advanced integrated quality systems leveraging real-time data from Tesla's manufacturing platforms
• Champion continuous improvement and first principles thinking to evolve systems beyond baseline requirements
• Manage and mentor technicians who perform select system audits, ensuring consistent execution, reporting and problem solving
• Conduct audits on compliance, system effectiveness, and performance, identifying gaps and driving corrective actions 
• Develop feedback loops, CAPA processes, and metrics monitoring to resolve issues proactively and prevent recurrence
• Develop processes and systems from scratch that can scale
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure preparedness for external regulatory audits (e.g. ISO 9001, compliance) and customer visits
  

What You’ll Bring

• Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years in quality engineering, with experience establishing and auditing systems in global manufacturing or remanufacturing
• Proven track record of managing teams and conducting effective audits
• Knowledge of quality standards (e.g. ISO 9001) and tools and methodologies (e.g. PFMEA, control plans, CAPA)
• Knowledge of lean principles and problem-solving methodologies
• Strong understanding of data analytics in manufacturing environments and fluency in conveying compelling narratives through data-driven storytelling
• Servant leadership style, empowering others through guidance and strong communication
• Impeccable judgment, uncompromising integrity in quality and safety, and resilience in dynamic environments
• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or a similar certification is a plus
