Quality Inspector II

Pay Rate: $29.21 per hour

Location: Los Angeles, CA (zip code 90039)

Work Mode: Onsite

Responsibilities:

• Perform visual and mechanical inspections of Printed Circuit Board Assemblies according to IPC A 610 standards.
• Use tools such as microscopes, magnifiers, and measurement instruments to verify component placement, solder joints, polarity, labeling, and workmanship quality.
• Inspect both through-hole and surface mount assemblies at incoming, in-process, and final stages.
• Identify defects, document nonconformances, and communicate issues clearly to production and engineering teams.
• Review work orders, drawings, BOMs, and manufacturing instructions to ensure compliance with requirements.
• Complete inspection records, reports, and logs accurately in accordance with company procedures.
• Collaborate with Quality and Production teams to support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Ensure ESD-safe handling practices and follow all safety guidelines.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in electronic assembly inspection of aerospace products.
• Proficiency in using measurement and inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and optical comparators.
• Basic understanding of printed circuit board assembly and electronic assembly equipment.
• Ability to read assembly drawings and BOMs.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify workmanship defects.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Basic computer skills for documenting inspections and working with quality systems.
• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR.

Preferred Skills:

• Certification to J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610.
• Experience with Surface Mount Technology and Thru-Hole assembly processes.
• Familiarity with AS9100 or similar quality management systems.
• Experience working in regulated industries (medical, aerospace, defense, etc.).
