Quality Engineer (On-site)

We are seeking a Quality Engineer I to support the Paladin vehicle manufacturing program. This role will develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems for complex military vehicle assemblies, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications and customer requirements.

• Develop and maintain quality control protocols for in-process and finished vehicle assemblies.
• Validate manufacturing processes, procedures, parts, and completed vehicles against engineering specifications and customer requirements.
• Support quality activities across engine testing, subassemblies, main assembly, vehicle testing, and paint and processing.
• Analyze quality data and Pareto charts to identify defect trends and drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Investigate, document, and resolve production issues and quality escapes.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to address production bottlenecks and improve manufacturing quality.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards and internal quality requirements.
• Present quality findings and improvement recommendations to leadership.

Required Qualifications:

• Meet one of the following education and experience combinations:

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of relevant quality engineering experience.

  • Associate’s degree with at least 4 years of relevant quality engineering experience.

  • High school diploma with at least 8 years of relevant experience, including demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.

• Experience in manufacturing, production, assembly, or automotive environments involving low-rate, complex assemblies.
• Strong understanding of Quality Assurance and Quality Control principles.
• Experience implementing and maintaining quality control protocols within an ISO 9001 environment.
• Experience conducting root cause analysis and resolving manufacturing quality issues.
• Ability to interpret engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Experience using quality data analysis tools and leading cross-functional problem-solving efforts.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Formal training or certification in Root Cause Analysis, 5-Why, Fishbone, and 8D methodologies.
• Experience developing and maintaining PFMEA and Process Quality Control Tables.
• Knowledge of GD&T and portable inspection equipment, such as Faro arms and laser trackers.
• Experience with Oracle MRP and TIPQA.
• Experience conducting ISO internal audits and Layered Process Audits.
• Experience developing and improving work instructions for complex assembly processes.

Pay Range: $30.50 - $34.50 per hour (Depending on experience and qualifications)
