Help Transform a Next-Generation PBM Platform

We are seeking a senior-levelQuality Engineer, Manual Tester to support a major, multi-year healthcare technology transformation focused on building a newcloud-native Pharmacy Benefit Management, PBM, platform and migrating existing PBM capabilities and client business to the new environment.

This is not a general QA opportunity. We are specifically seeking an experienced quality professional with extensivemanual testing, Software Quality Assurance, SQA, Quality Control, QC, healthcare, and PBM experience.

The successful candidate will design and execute comprehensive test scenarios, validate requirements and user stories, identify and manage defects, analyze application quality, and work across multiple technical and business teams to ensure reliable, production-ready releases.

Critical Experience Requirements

Candidates must have significant, hands-on experience in the following areas:

  • 8+ years of Manual Testing

  • 8+ years of Software Quality Assurance, SQA

  • 8+ years of Quality Control, QC

  • 6+ years of Pharmacy Benefit Management, PBM

  • 6+ years of Application Quality Analysis

  • 6+ years of Cross-Functional Team Leadership

  • Directhealthcare industry experience

What You'll Do

  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensivemanual test cases and test scenarios

  • Validate applications against business requirements, functional requirements, user stories, and expected system behavior

  • Perform functional, regression, requirements-based, and release validation testing

  • Identify, document, track, and communicate software defects

  • Manage defects throughout the testing and resolution lifecycle

  • Analyze application quality and identify potential risks, gaps, and areas for improvement

  • Develop and influence testing strategies and quality assurance approaches

  • Apply PBM subject matter knowledge to testing and quality decisions

  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, product teams, project teams, and business stakeholders

  • Coordinate quality activities across multiple functional and technical teams

  • Provide senior-level guidance on complex testing and quality issues

  • Influence testing and quality decisions across multiple workstreams

  • Help establish and maintain effectiveSQA and QC processes

  • Ensure solutions meet established quality standards before release

  • Support continuous improvement of testing methodologies, standards, documentation, and quality processes

  • Help resolve complex quality issues that may impact multiple teams or workstreams

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of professional QA, Quality Engineering, SQA, or software testing experience

  • Professional degree required

  • Extensive hands-onmanual software testing experience

  • Direct healthcare technology experience

  • 6+ years of Pharmacy Benefit Management, PBM, experience

  • Extensive test planning, test case design, test execution, and defect management experience

  • Experience validating requirements and user stories

  • Strong knowledge of formalSoftware Quality Assurance and Quality Control processes

  • Demonstrated application quality analysis experience

  • Experience leading or coordinating testing activities across multiple teams

  • Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills

  • Ability to operate effectively within a large, complex transformation program

PBM Experience Is Essential

We are particularly interested in candidates with hands-on experience supporting PBM and pharmacy-related platforms involving areas such as:

Pharmacy Claims • Pharmacy Benefits • Formulary • Benefit Configuration • Member Processes • Provider Processes • Pharmacy Operations • Health Plans • Healthcare Payer Systems • PBM Platforms

Candidates should be able to explain how their PBM knowledge was applied directly totesting, requirements validation, defect analysis, or application quality.

Manual Testing Expertise

Strong candidates will demonstrate substantial hands-on experience with:

Test Planning • Test Case Development • Test Scenario Creation • Functional Testing • Regression Testing • Requirements Validation • User Story Testing • Test Execution • Defect Identification • Defect Documentation • Defect Lifecycle Management • Release Validation

This position is specifically focused onmanual testing and quality engineering, so candidates should have deep hands-on manual QA expertise.

Cross-Functional Leadership

This is a senior individual contributor opportunity requiring the ability to influence quality across a complex program.

You may lead testing activities, coordinate QA efforts across teams, advise project stakeholders, resolve cross-functional quality issues, and influence testing strategy without necessarily having direct people-management responsibility.

About the Project

You will support a major, multi-year initiative to develop a newcloud-native PBM platform while re-implementing and migrating existing pharmacy benefit capabilities and client business in phases.

The transformation spans approximately16 functional workstreams, creating a highly collaborative environment involving capability development, integration, re-implementation, program management, governance, and operational readiness.
