Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer (QE) with 5+ years of QA/QE experience in P&C Insurance (Personal Lines – Auto/Home) and strong hands-on expertise with Guidewire PolicyCenter. The ideal candidate will be an individual contributor with strong analytical and testing skills, capable of working across complex test scenarios and enhancing automation capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Work primarily on P&C Policy Administration systems with hands-on Guidewire PolicyCenter expertise.
• Review, understand, and execute complex test plans and designs to validate both new and existing software functionality.
• Translate complex test designs into detailed manual or automated test cases and deliver them on schedule.
• Identify potential test coverage gaps and missing scenarios in test designs.
• Collaborate with senior SDETs and QE leadership to influence technical direction, define best practices, and ensure high-quality delivery.
• Write stable, maintainable, and efficient automated test scripts, applying current software engineering best practices.
• Mentor junior QE team members; review test cases and automation code, providing constructive feedback.
• Work closely with business SMEs to deepen domain knowledge in Personal Lines Insurance.
• Promote a culture of high-quality, automation-first testing, minimizing manual testing where possible.
• Participate actively in code reviews and enforce coding standards and testing best practices.
• Focus on operational excellence by identifying problems, proposing solutions, and taking ownership of improvements.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business impacts, solve problems, and enhance customer experience.
• Provide hands-on support in design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of automated test frameworks and solutions.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, design discussions, backlog grooming, and sprint planning.
• Create test scenarios aligned with business needs to ensure delivery of high-quality software.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of QE/QA experience
• Strong experience in Personal Lines P&C Insurance (Auto or Home)
• Deep hands-on experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter
• Experience with automation testing (added advantage)
• Strong understanding of test design, QA methodologies, and SDLC
• Ability to convert complex requirements into test scenarios and automated scripts
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Experience collaborating in Agile environments
