Quality Engineer
5-8 yrs experience, Junior to Mid-level
Skills:
Mobile Testing (Primary Focus)
- Strong hands-on experience with Sauce Labs for mobile device testing and test execution.
- Experience testing native mobile applications on both iOS and Android platforms.
- Experience with both physical devices and simulators/emulators.
- Understanding of .apk and .ipa files, including installing and validating builds on test devices.
- Exposure to Detox is a plus but not required.
General QA / Supporting Technical Skills
- Experience with Jira, Zephyr, Jenkins, and Bitbucket.
- Familiarity with Node.js (in order to understand xpress-mobile PRs)
- Working knowledge of SQL and Unix/Linux.
- Experience with AWS, including DynamoDB and AWS WorkSpaces.
- Familiarity with AWS Device Farm.
- Ability to support testing efforts that span mobile applications and related backend systems.

• Advanced understanding of the full application and the dependencies required for connecting and working with 3rd party vendors.
• Ability to create and maintain pipelines to support existing CI/CD systems.
• Possess ability to lead others in the completion of large-scale projects.

Education:
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Experience:
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
• Knowledge of algorithms, data structures, complexity theory and object-oriented design.
• Solid programming experience, NodeJS and Typescript preferred.
• Experience with automated (JS) testing frameworks such as PLaywright
• Cloud environment experience and AWS certifications are a plus.
• Experience developing high quality test automation.
• Experience maintaining and enhancing automated testing projects.
• Knowledge of software quality assurance/engineering methodologies, tools and processes.
• Strong, object-oriented design and coding experience.
• Experience building automated testing projects from ground up.
• Experience building CI/CD processes and leveraging tools such as Jenkins.
