About Avantpage

Avantpage helps healthcare organizations, government agencies, and other institutions communicate with multilingual communities through translation, localization, and language access services. Our work makes essential information easier to understand and use. We bring together a global team guided by Empathy, Innovation, and Rigor.

About the role

We are looking for a Quality Coordinator who can develop quality processes, work confidently with clients, and use data and technology to improve how our team operates. You will coordinate quality assurance across the localization workflow for assigned accounts, working with Project Managers, linguists, DTP teams, and QA specialists.

You will also help maintain quality dashboards, investigate recurring issues, and implement practical improvements using CAT/TMS platforms, automation, and AI tools. The role reports to the Quality Manager.

What you will do

  • Develop and maintain quality plans for assigned accounts, translating client requirements into clear review criteria, responsibilities, and checkpoints.

  • Coordinate quality processes with PMs, PCs, internal and external linguists, DTP teams, QA specialists, and their team leads.

  • Participate in client meetings and quality escalations, communicating findings and proposed actions clearly in English.

  • Lead root cause analyses and coordinate corrective and preventive actions, following up on their implementation and effectiveness.

  • Monitor quality results and provider performance, identify trends, and coordinate training or feedback to address gaps.

  • Maintain and improve quality dashboards and reports using Power BI and Excel.

  • Manage quality resources and automated QA rules within CAT/TMS platforms, particularly Phrase.

  • Identify opportunities to simplify workflows and reduce repetitive work through automation and AI, verifying outputs before implementation.

  • Document improvements and help colleagues adopt and maintain them, coordinating with Innovation when additional technical support is needed.

What you bring

  • At least 3 years of experience coordinating or managing quality processes in the translation or localization industry.

  • Experience developing quality processes, conducting root cause analyses, and coordinating corrective and preventive actions.

  • Understanding of translation, linguistic review, DTP, and layout QA workflows.

  • Advanced spoken and written English, with the ability to communicate independently with clients.

  • Hands-on Power BI experience and strong Excel skills for data analysis, reporting, and dashboard maintenance.

  • Professional experience with CAT tools and translation management systems. Phrase is strongly preferred; comparable platforms will also be considered.

  • Practical experience using AI and automation tools to improve workflows.

  • A resourceful approach to problem solving, with the ability to investigate unfamiliar tools, organize competing priorities, and collaborate across teams.

  • A degree in Translation, Linguistics, Quality Management, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Power Automate or comparable workflow automation tools.

  • Experience supporting healthcare or government clients, or other regulated environments.

  • Knowledge of accessibility quality practices or alternative formats, including accessible PDFs, large print, or braille.

What we offer

  • A remote role within a global, multicultural team.

  • Professional development and training in localization, quality management, and technology.

  • The opportunity to improve quality processes and support colleagues across the team.
