Quality Coordinator
Job Type: Direct Hire

Job Summary
Our client is seeking an experiencedQuality Coordinator to join our Quality Assurance team in San Antonio. This position is ideal for a quality professional with direct automotive industry experience who understands the expectations of working with OE automotive customers and suppliers.
In this role, you’ll analyze warranty and customer concern data, monitor OE customer quality requirements and performance, support internal and external quality audits, and provide backup support for Supplier Quality and Receiving Inspection.
Responsibilities
- Collect, track, and analyze aftermarket warranty and customer concern data
- Identify quality trends and assist with determining appropriate corrective actions
- Monitor OE automotive customer portals for quality ratings, scorecards, concerns, and changes to customer-specific requirements
- Communicate relevant customer requirement changes to internal teams
- Support responses to customer quality concerns and follow-up activities
- Assist with internal and external IATF 16949 quality system audits
- Help maintain documentation and records required by the Quality Management System
- Support audit preparation, corrective actions, and follow-up activities
- Review and work with quality documentation including PFMEAs, Control Plans, capability studies, and Gauge R&R (GR&R)
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications, including basic GD&T
- Provide backup support for Supplier Quality and Receiving Inspection
- Work directly with suppliers to address quality concerns and support resolution of non-conforming material
- Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and other departments to resolve quality issues
- Travel to supplier and customer locations as needed, approximately 25%
- Perform additional quality-related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a Quality role
- Direct experience working with OE automotive customers, automotive suppliers, and/or automotive quality auditors
- Previous experience in an automotive manufacturing or automotive supplier environment
- Working knowledge of:
- PFMEAs
- Control Plans
- Capability Studies
- Gauge R&R (GR&R)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Basic understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, auditors, and internal teams
- Ability to travel approximately 25%
- Must be authorized to work in the United States now and in the future without employer sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within an IATF 16949 Quality Management System
- Experience supporting internal, customer, supplier, or third-party audits
- Experience with OE automotive customer portals, scorecards, and customer-specific requirements
- Supplier Quality and/or Receiving Inspection experience
- Experience investigating warranty claims or customer quality concerns
