Job Description:

· We’re Finding Better WaysTM to deliver one of largest digital transformations and are looking for a Quality Assurance Lead (SAP S/4HANA) to help move our ERP landscape to SAP S/4HANA safely and confidently.

Why this role?

Position description:

· Role family SAP S/4HANA quality assurance, test governance, readiness controls and gate challenge

· Programme context S/4HANA and BTP migration with regional readiness risks across third parties, technical teams, test phases, defect governance and cutover readiness.

· Primary phase: Phase 1 mobilisation through SIT and UAT-aligned quality gates, SIT2, cutover readiness and hypercare stabilisation.

· Location model: Regional hub aligned to Montreal/North America timezone coverage.

· Primary interfaces: Tech Platform Lead, Test Governance, QA/Defect Governance, Accenture, PMO, GPOs, testing leaders, delivery teams, third party coordinators, SMEs and platform specialists.

· Programme phase: SIT/UAT gates to hypercare

· Primary value: Test governance, QA controls and readiness assurance

Position purpose:

· Provide independent SAP S/4HANA quality assurance oversight of test governance and readiness, ensuring formal phase entry and exit decisions are supported by consistent controls, validated evidence and transparent reporting.

· The role challenges readiness claims, identifies quality gaps and helps ensure compliant, high-quality testing outcomes across regional teams.

Core accountabilities:

· Maintain and apply the regional testing governance framework, readiness standards and quality controls in line with programme expectations.

· Govern formal regional test phase readiness and evidence for SIT, UAT-aligned assurance activities, SIT2, cutover rehearsal and hypercare gates.

· Provide independent oversight of regional test execution health, identifying and escalating risks, issues, quality gaps and control weaknesses.

· Ensure teams consolidate, validate and retain test artefacts and readiness evidence required to meet quality gates.

· Oversee regional defect management practices, including logging discipline, traceability, reporting quality, ageing, prioritisation and escalation.

· Review and interpret System Integrator testing and defect reports, highlighting trends, risks and evidence gaps for leadership decision-making.

· Govern regional use of test management tools, including qTest evidence, access provisioning dependencies and compliance issues where they affect testing governance.

· Partner with testing leaders, GPOs, delivery teams and System Integrators while maintaining an independent challenge position.

· Produce clear governance and readiness reporting that makes the actual regional position visible, including pass, conditional pass or blocker recommendations.

Key deliverables:

· Regional QA gate readiness pack with evidence status, gaps, risks, decisions required and recommendation.

· Testing governance controls checklist covering artefacts, evidence, defects, reporting, tool usage and access dependencies.

· Independent readiness and quality findings register with owner, action, due date, severity and closure evidence.

· Defect governance assessment covering logging quality, traceability, ageing, trend commentary and escalation effectiveness.

· System Integrator report review summary highlighting trends, risks, control gaps and areas requiring leadership attention.

· qTest and test evidence compliance summary for regional gate decisions.

· Skills and experience

· Strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA test governance frameworks, QA standards, controls and formal quality gate management.

· Experience supporting or coordinating test governance in complex delivery environments with several teams, phases or workstreams.

· Experience providing independent oversight across testing teams while constructively challenging delivery confidence.

· Strong understanding of defect management, testing metrics, traceability and evidence standards.

· Experience with test management tools, with qTest experience highly regarded.

· Strong judgement, critical thinking, documentation discipline and executive reporting capability.

· Collaborative approach that supports quality, compliance and psychological safety while still escalating material gaps.

· Must be bilingual (French & English). Additionally fluent in Spanish would be advantageous.

Success measures:

· Regional readiness decisions are based on validated evidence, not verbal assurance or optimistic reporting.

· Quality gaps, governance risks and defect trends are visible early enough for corrective action.

· Gate packs are clear, traceable and support leadership decision-making.

· Defect governance and test evidence standards are applied consistently across regional teams and third party cohorts.

· The role provides independent challenge without taking over test planning, execution or vendor management.

Explicit exclusions:

· Owning test planning, test scheduling or test execution.

· Managing testers or vendor delivery activity.

· Owning defects that belong to the defect tower, functional streams or delivery teams.

· Replacing PMO schedule governance or Tech Platform ownership of operational readiness.
