Position Overview
The South Carolina Department of Health & Human Services (SCDHHS) is seeking an experiencedQuality Assurance Analyst – Advanced to support its Systems Applications Integration and Development team.
The resource will serve as asystem testing specialist supporting Medicaid enrollment, eligibility, claims processing, document management, workflows, and related systems. The role will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive testing strategies and ensuring adherence to QA standards and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop test plans, test cases, QA processes, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scenarios.
- PerformSmoke, System Integration, Regression, UI, End-to-End, and usability testing.
- Design and develop automated test scripts usingSahi Pro/Selenium.
- Translate business requirements and policy documentation into detailed test cases and scenarios.
- Identify, document, track, and manage defects through resolution.
- Perform negative testing and evaluate application reliability, stability, security, and performance.
- Review and approve vendor unit/system integration test plans and results.
- Conduct test plan, test script, scenario, and test report reviews.
- Ensure projects follow established QA governance, SDLC, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with developers, architects, product teams, business stakeholders, and leadership.
- Provide testing status, defect reports, risks, issues, and recommendations to management.
- Recommend improvements to testing processes, application quality, performance, and efficiency.
- 5+ years of Quality Assurance / Quality Control experience.
- 5+ years translating business requirements or policy documentation into test cases and scenarios.
- 3+ years of experience withSahi Pro/Selenium Automation Framework.
- Hands-on experience designing and developing test automation scripts.
- Working knowledge of at least one:SPICE, TPI, TMMI, CMMI OPF, OPD, or PPQA.
- Hands-on experience with formal test design techniques such as:
- Equivalence Class Partitioning
- Pairwise Analysis
- Experience withPICT or equivalent orthogonal-based test design tools.
- 5+ years working with large enterprise or e-business systems.
- 3+ years Medicaid or healthcare experience with strong knowledge of healthcare/Medicaid business processes.
- Experience withX12 Standards and HIPAA EDI transactions.
- Proficiency withJIRA and Confluence / Atlassian tools.
- Experience working in bothWaterfall/SDLC and Agile environments.
- Bachelor's degree in atechnical, business, or healthcare-related field, or
- 5+ years of equivalent QA experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong English communication skills.
- Ability to write requirements and Use Cases.
- Ability to document test scenarios, test cases, execution results, defects, and gaps.
- Strong ability to communicate testing status and issues to development and management teams.
Candidate must currently reside in South Carolina or be willing to relocate to South Carolina at their own expense before starting.
