QA Analyst 

QA Analyst Manual Testing professionals are responsible for evaluating software applications to ensure they meet specified requirements and are free of defects. They manually execute test cases, document results, and report bugs or issues found during testing. This role requires attention to detail, analytical skills, and a thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle. Manual QA analysts collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to help deliver high-quality software products.

Key Responsibilities

• Test Planning & Design: Review user stories, business requirements, functional specifications, and design documents to create comprehensive test scenarios, test cases, and test data.
• Test Execution: Execute functional, integration, system, regression and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• API Testing: Perform API testing using tools such as Postman or Swagger. Validate API requests, responses, status codes, authentication, and JSON payloads.
• Database Testing: Write and execute basic SQL queries to validate data integrity, transactions, and backend processing.
• Defect Management: Log, track, and retest bugs using tools likeJira or Azure DevOps.
• Test Automation: Assist with basic test automation activities and execution of automated test scripts. Exposure to tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar frameworks is a plus.
• Collaboration: Work with developers, product owners, and business analysts in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain test documentation, record test results, communicate defects, risks, and release readiness to stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 2–4 years of hands-on experience in software testing or quality assurance.
• Manual Testing: Strong understanding and practical experience with functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, sanity, and end-to-end testing.
• Testing Fundamentals: Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, defect life cycle, test case design, and test execution.
• API Testing: Experience with basic to intermediate API testing using Postman, Swagger, or similar tools.
• Database Testing: Working knowledge of SQL and experience validating application data and database transactions.
• Defect & Test Management: Experience with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar test/defect management platforms.
• Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills, effective communication, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Git and basic CI/CD concepts.
• Exposure to API automation or UI automation.
• Basic exposure to automation testing using Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar tools is preferred.
• Experience testing payment, banking, lending, cards, digital banking, or financial transaction platforms.
• Understanding of basic financial transaction flows, reconciliation, and transaction failure/error scenarios.
