QA Tester, Optimus (Afternoon Shift)

What to Expect

Tesla is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Optimus QA Tester to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our robotic systems through daily testing and analysis. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a diligent approach to testing and QA.  We are looking for someone with enthusiasm for the field of robotics and a strong desire to contribute to the development of Optimus.

Shifts Available: 4:30pm - 12:00am

What You’ll Do

• Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on project requirements and specifications 
• Perform regular regression testing to ensure that previously identified defects have been resolved and that new changes/features have not introduced any unintended side effects  
• Work closely with the development team to identify, track, and prioritize issues  
• Maintain thorough records of test results, including test logs, screenshots, and videos  
• Execute defined test cases, record & analyze test results to provide detailed reports  
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure a smooth and efficient testing process  
• Clearly communicate test results, issues, and recommendations to stakeholders

What You’ll Bring

• Must be able to push/pull up to 30 lbs.
• Experience troubleshooting hardware and/or software, software experience preferred
• Proven experience in software or robotics quality assurance testing  
• Terminal experience (running scripts, flashing software, etc.) preferred  
• Excellent problem-solving skills & strong written and verbal communication skills  
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
