Job Title: QA Tester

Location: Indianapolis, IN

Job Description: Theoris Services is assisting our client in their search for a QA Tester to join their growing team. We are seeking an experienced QA Tester to support a policy conversion project, migrating existing life insurance and annuity policies from legacy systems to a modern, cloud-based platform. This role will focus primarily on manual testing to validate policy conversions, application functionality, and integrations between cloud-based and on-premises systems.

Responsibilities:

Execute manual testing of policy conversions to ensure accurate migration of existing policies and data.
Test new and existing functionality within cloud-based applications, including new business intake, underwriting, and policy management.
Validate integrations and data flows between cloud-based applications and legacy on-premises systems.
Develop and execute test cases, document results, and track defects through resolution using JIRA.
Collaborate with IT teams, business stakeholders, and product owners to validate requirements and resolve issues.
Identify opportunities to improve testing efficiency and reduce reliance on business teams for testing.
Leverage automation and AI-assisted tools where appropriate to improve test coverage and efficiency.

Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years of manual QA testing experience.
Strong manual testing experience, including test case development, execution, and defect tracking.
Experience in Insurance Industry (life or annuity would be best)
Proficiency with JIRA.
Experience testing cloud-based applications and/or legacy mainframe systems.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with life insurance or annuity systems, particularly policy administration or policy conversions.
AI capabilities
Experience testing data migrations between legacy and cloud-based systems.
Familiarity with COBOL/mainframe systems and application integrations.
Test automation or scripting experience
