Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
• Analyze functional requirements and prepare comprehensive test scenarios, test cases and test data.
• Perform functional, integration, regression and end-to-end testing of iOS and Android applications.
• Validate mobile application workflows such as equipment monitoring, downtime management, comments, acknowledgements, filters and notifications.
• Test REST APIs, including request/response validation, error handling and business logic.
• Validate Microsoft SSO authentication workflows, including MFA, login, logout, token expiry and session management.
• Test role-based and scope-based authorization, ensuring users can access only permitted operational data.
• Verify real-time or near-real-time updates between backend services and the mobile application.
• Validate application behavior under poor network connectivity, connectivity loss, API failures and application background/foreground transitions.
• Test push notifications across application states and supported devices.
• Validate microphone permissions, speech-to-text functionality and transcription editing workflows.
• Test data consistency between mobile screens, backend APIs and underlying operational data.
• Perform compatibility testing across supported iOS/Android versions, devices and screen sizes.
• Execute smoke, sanity, regression and release acceptance testing.
• Identify, document, track and verify defects using project management or defect-tracking tools.
• Work closely with mobile and backend developers to troubleshoot integration issues.
• Support UAT, release readiness and production smoke testing.
Required Technical Skills-
• Strong experience in manual functional testing of mobile applications.
• Hands-on experience testing iOS and Android applications.
• Experience with REST API testing using Postman or similar tools.
• Good understanding of HTTP methods, response codes, JSON payloads and authentication headers.
• Experience testing authentication, permissions and user access workflows.
• Knowledge of integration testing, regression testing and end-to-end test execution.
• Experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Ability to analyze logs, identify reproducible issues and work with developers to isolate defects.
• Understanding of test planning, test case preparation and defect lifecycle management.
Good to Have-
• Experience testing Ionic/Angular or other hybrid mobile applications.
• Experience with Azure-hosted applications.
• Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, Microsoft Entra ID SSO and MFA scenarios.
• Familiarity with MQTT, WebSockets or event-driven applications.
• Experience testing push notifications using APNs and FCM.
• Experience with automation tools such as Appium, Playwright or Cypress.
• Familiarity with performance and load testing tools such as JMeter or k6.
• Experience testing IoT, industrial monitoring or operational dashboards.
• Basic SQL knowledge for validating backend data.
